Library Rules

Infogroep Library Rules

Use

By using the facilities provided by the Infogroep Library, the borrower agrees with the rules put forth in this document.

Availability

The library is available to members and honorary members of Infogroep.

Non-members aren't allowed to borrow items from the library.

Available items

The books from the shelves as well as the media items (CDROM, DVD) featured on the list of available items, can be borrowed.

Only three items may be borrowed per person at the same time. Magazines cannot be borrowed, but can be consulted in our room.

Borrowing

Borrowing is free of charge.

A deposit must be given per borrowed item:

    * 5 Euro per book
    * 5 Euro per media-packet

In case of loss or damage of the borrowed items, the borrower must pay

for the damages.

Reservations

Members can request that books and media packets are kept aside. Borrowing term

    * Books and software must be returned 21 days after the day of borrowing.
    * When the borrowing term ends in a holiday, the books and software must be returned within the first week after the end of the holiday.
    * All books must be returned at the end of the academic year before Infogroep closes. In practice, this means the items must be returned before the first week of May.
    * The borrowing term can be prolonged by 14 days on the condition that the requested item hasn't been reserved. This however can only be granted when the books have been shown to the librarian.

Exceeding the borrowing term

    * Persons neglecting to bring the borrowed items back on time, will have to pay a fine of 0.10 Euro per borrowed item per weekday it is too late, until this fine augments to 5 Euro.
    * Persons neglecting the predetermined borrowing period with more than 20 weekdays, are no longer allowed to borrow any books, magazines, software or manuals. This however does not mean that the fines will not be inned!

Reading room

All books and magazines may be consulted in the Infogroep room, during the opening hours.
